After yoga last night, we ate some dinner, and then Joe said 'do you want to watch Toy Story 3? I downloaded it yesterday and I was going to watch it but I felt bad for you' (cos he knows I'm a big BIG fan) The general consensus was yes. After much faffing about with cables we got the laptop hooked up with the TV downstairs and had about 5 of us sprawled on the sofas, watching 3am Toy Story 3. It was rad, of course. By the time it was finished it was about half 5 and time to go back to our 4th floor dominion for...bed? No no no, keep up. For chewing the fat, putting the world to rights, oreo cookies, story swapping. Also made the discovery of www.textsfromlastnight.com, which is a website that pretty much does what it says on the tin. It's really very amusing - a few personal faves were

And as for Fate. When we hit 8am we reckoned it was time for breakfast, so we set off for Tiny Cup in the biting cold. Ordered our coffees and biscuits with jam/gravy, and picked up a copy of the Village Voice. We were flicking through, laughing at horoscopes, gasping at the personals etc. And I was casting a casual eye over the gig listings in teeny tiny print when I suddenly spotted

Excellent, excellent British band playing in NYC for frickin $14 dollars! That's nothing. it was Fate that we stayed up all night causing us to go to Tiny Cup in need of a caffeine hit where we picked up Village Voice where I learned about Biffy. Thank you, powers that be. God knows what I will do with myself today though. Resurrect, hopefully.
